All New Character Sheets

What are we up to?

We are barreling towards our official launch, and we wanted to use this time to polish our features. Lots going on behind the scenes. We have been working on cleaner exports, updating our site icons and making sure any bugs are cleaned up. But most excitingly I have taken some time to update a pro feature following feedback from Beta Testers.

Early in testing it was requested that we add character sheets that can be edited by players. We put this in place, but have never really been happy with how it looks or feels.

What are we changing?

We have been working to make the character sheets easier to use for all major systems. Beta users fed back that the character sheets were too simplified and did not cover all the major information needed. This was called out specifically for 5e and Pathfinder character sheets.

The call out was mainly about how spells are controlled in the sheet. For 5E the sheet didn't break down spell slots by level in a clear way, and for Pathfinder we made sure that the focus points system was clearer and in an easier place to work with. We also added 10th level spells, because we completely forgot that Pathfinder goes to 10.

How is it going?

We are making progress. We have all the fields we want now, we are just playing around with the layout. Still not 100% happy with it, but it is so much better than it was. Once we have got the 5E and Pathfinder sheets where we want them we will also look to update and improve the Call of Cthulu, Fate and Vampire: The Masquerade sheet. Probably also a really good time to look at our generic sheet too and make it the best it can be.

What Next?

Hope you like the new look we are working on, and I look forward to showing more when it starts to take shape. Let us know what other systems you would like character sheets for and we will see what we can do.
